Albert G. Richards Graduate Student Research Grant

 
Purpose
 

The Albert G. Richards Graduate Student Research Grant is designed to assist postgraduate students in conducting applied research in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. It provides funds for supplies, equipment and other costs such as computer time or shop work.  The objective is to encourage research in dental radiology by assisting promising graduate students to further their research goals.

 
Award
 

The Academy will grant one award of $1000 per year. Grants will be awarded at the Annual Session of the AAOMR.

 
Eligibility
 

The Research Grant is available to students enrolled in an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology graduate program at the time of receiving the Award. Applicants should be members of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology or should have applied for membership. Funded projects should involve research in some area of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.

 
Selection Criteria
 

Applications will be reviewed by members of the Awards Committee and the award will be given based on the following criteria:

1. Originality
2. Sound methodology
3. Significance of contribution to the science of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.

The deadline for application is August 15. The Program Director should send a letter by email attesting to the applicant’s eligibility. The application and a curriculum vitae should be sent to:
